Zağnos ve Tabakhane Vadilerini birleştirmesini amaçlayan “Tünel Akvaryum” projesi için önerilen güzergâh Trabzon Kültür Varlıkları tarafından onaylanmıştır. Belirlenen güzergâh uzunluğu 196 metre olup, yeni güzergâha uygun olarak konsepti içine alacak avan proje çalışmaları tamamlanmıştır. 3.765 m2 yapı alanına sahip projenin toplam ziyaretçi yürüyüş mesafesi 240m. olup 32 akvaryum ve teraryum alanlarından oluşmaktadır.
